Artificial Intelligence

Machine learning and deep learning for vision, signals and scientific data.

Updated

What we build

Mertech develops machine learning systems that solve concrete engineering and scientific problems rather than demos. We select the simplest model that meets the requirement, then scale up only when the data justifies it.

  • Computer vision for inspection, microscopy and medical imaging
  • Time-series and signal models for sensors and biomedical recordings
  • Predictive models for engineering and biological data
  • Embedded AI that runs on low-power hardware

How we work

  1. Define the metric. We agree what success means before training anything.
  2. Prepare the data. Cleaning, labelling and leakage checks come first.
  3. Train and validate. Cross-validation, ablations and an untouched test set.
  4. Deploy. Packaged models, monitoring and a documented retraining path.

Typical deliverables
